Lunadoro Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG "Traditionale" 2012
The Nobile Lunadoro we enter the heart of the Lunadoro production. From the vineyards in the district of Montepulciano Valiano, we get a pretty pure Sangiovese with absolute respect for tradition, hence the name of the wine. Ruby red color, complex nose and the characteristics of the most traditional Vino Nobile with fruity, soft and ripe pomegranate aromas. The elegance over power, determines the bouquet with notes of black pepper, plum jam, a floral touch of violet and tertiary aromas of dark chocolate and cigars. On the palate, the structure is well balanced, with soft tannins and acidity and a long finish. Great potential for aging and great price / quality ratio.
A small anecdote about our encounter with this wine ... In 2012 my wife and I were en route to Umbria. It was the first piece of the process and the plan was to stay close to Modena. Something beyond Milan started to make the car a little strange. Long story short, flat tire; no reserve because it was a "run flat", and that on a Friday night at 20h ... This could be a very long story but that's for another time. Lodge found yet late in the evening still got a tip for a good restaurant. I forgot the name, and also what we eat but we drank our first Nobile Lunadoro. When I started the business, I just knew that they had to sit in the offer, even though there is already another importer in Belgium ...
